Disclosure regarding Slavery & Human Rights Violations

The Rossy Organization has a domestic footprint throughout Canada, and as such, has developed a supplier Code of Conduct, which prohibits human rights abuses throughout our supply chain and is in line with Canada's New Anti-Slavery Law (S211 - 44-1)

Practices such as, but not limited to:  illegal child labor, physical abuse, human trafficking, withholding of a worker's passport, restricting a workers freedom of movement, providing an unsafe work environment, failure to pay fair wages or excessive forced overtime, and many other aspects of worker welfare are addressed by our supplier Code of conduct. By signing Rossy' PO agreements, the supplier warrants compliance with our Code of conduct, which extends to any of their sub-contractors as well.

Unfortunately, Rossy acknowledges that violations of our code can and still occur, but when we uncover any such violations to our code, we will immediately respond in a manner to mitigate and eliminate any such violations including termination of the business relationship, if warranted.

Depending on the extent of the violation, we may allow our suppliers reasonable time to develop and implement a plan for remediation.

In general, Rossy strives to work with supplier's that already abide by our code of conduct rather than to correct any possible code violations.

Rossy further acknowledges that terminating a business relationship with any given supplier is unlikely to correct the underlying issue, and in some cases, may cause further hardship to workers and their families who depend upon the employment, but that being stated, if one of our supplier's fails to make satisfactory progress toward improvement and abiding to our code of conduct, we will cease our business relationship.

All members of Rossy’s buying and assistant buying team who deal with our suppliers will be provided with training on a continued basis.

This training covers Rossy' Code of Conduct and its importance to our business and to the all the workers who produce the merchandise we ultimately sell.

Rossy encourages anyone who is aware of any violations of the law or our Code of conduct to notify their management, or Rossy' Code of Conduct Compliance team by utilizing Rossy' whistleblower web form on our website.
