SUPPLIER CODE OF CONDUCT
Policy Statement:
At Rossy, we are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of ethical business conduct. We recognize the importance of ensuring that our supply chain is free from modern slavery and human trafficking and human rights violations. As such, we are committed to implementing measures to prevent, detect, and address any instances of exploitation or abuse within our supply chain.
Scope:
This Supplier Code of Conduct applies to all suppliers and 3rd party agencies engaged in providing goods or services to Rossy, regardless of their location.
Legal Compliance:
All suppliers must comply with the laws and regulations of their respective jurisdictions, including but not limited to, the Modern Slavery Act of Canada (S211 (44-1) and Compliance with this Code of Conduct is a mandatory condition for conducting business with the Rossy organization.
Risk Assessment:
Rossy conducts risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential risks of modern slavery, human trafficking and human rights violations within our supply chain. These assessments consider factors such as geographic location, industry sector, nature of the goods or services provided and a country or the specific company’s good standing in the public domain.
Supplier Expectations:
- Zero Tolerance: Rossy has zero tolerance for modern slavery, forced labor, child labor, and human trafficking and human rights violations. Suppliers must not engage in or support any these form of exploitation or abuse, or any other human rights violations not listed directly herewith.
- Fair Wages and Benefits: Suppliers must ensure that all workers receive fair wages and benefits in accordance with applicable laws and industry standards. This includes compliance with minimum wage laws, overtime regulations, and social security contributions.
- Safe Working Conditions: Suppliers must provide safe and healthy working conditions for all employees, free from hazards and risks to their health and safety. This includes adequate facilities, equipment, training, and protective gear.
- Ethical Recruitment: Suppliers must adhere to ethical recruitment practices, including the prohibition of deceptive recruitment practices, retention of identity documents, and payment of recruitment fees by workers. Recruitment processes must be transparent, fair, and nondiscriminatory.
Due Diligence:
Suppliers are required to conduct due diligence on their own supply chains to identify and mitigate risks of modern slavery and human trafficking. This includes mapping their supply chains, assessing suppliers, subcontractors, and implementing appropriate risk mitigation measures.
Training and Awareness:
Rossy will make available resources (where asked by their suppliers) to help them understand and comply with this Code of Conduct, as well as, relevant legal requirements. Training will also be available which covers topics such as identifying signs of modern slavery, reporting mechanisms, and the importance of ethical business practices, such as but not limited to these example of signs: employees not in possession of their passports, controlled movements, threats to be handed over to authorities, receiving little to no pay, excess long hours, poor working conditions…etc.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
We monitor supplier compliance through the following assessments: monitoring online complains on our whistle blower online form, any supplier complaints on the public domains and we also follow-up with our buyers to make sure they are using due diligence when signing PO’s with our suppliers. Non-compliance may result in corrective action, up to and including termination of our business relationship with any suppliers we find in violations of our supplier code of conduct.
Reporting Mechanisms:
Suppliers are encouraged to report any concerns or violations of this Code of Conduct through our confidential reporting mechanisms. Whistleblower protections are provided for individuals reporting in good faith (Rossy Whistle blower online form). Rossy will promptly investigate all reports of alleged misconduct and take appropriate action where necessary.
Continuous Improvement:
Rossy is committed to continuous improvement in our supply chain practices. We will have reviews and updates to this Code of Conduct to reflect evolving legal requirements, industry standards, and best practices. We also work collaboratively with suppliers to address any identified gaps or areas for improvement.
