Use Briggs and Little Yarn for Knitting Socks, Weaving Blankets, and More

Briggs and Little also sells carded raw fleece used for stuffing or hand spinning. They transform raw fleece into finished yarn through various operations, including scouring, dyeing, and spinning. Briggs and Little yarn offers different collections, such as Heritage and Tuffy. Generally, they are the same aside from some exceptions. Tuffy is 80% Canadian wool and 20% nylon while Heritage is 100% wool. Heritage and Tuffy yarn generally have the following features:

  • Yarn Ball Weight: 4 oz.

  • Ball Length: 215 yards

When using Tuffy or Heritage yarn, it’s best to hand wash the yarn and dry flat. Both types of yarn can be used for knitting socks, mittens, gloves, sweaters, vests, scarves, hats, weaving blankets, and upholstery material.

Note: Briggs and Little yarn is best used for patterns designed for Heritage or Tuffy.
